About Alfie Goodrich
Alfie Goodrich is a British photographer who now lives permanently in Japan working as a photojournalist as well as teaching photography in Tokyo. He is freelance but also currently under contract to the Nippon News agency. He has photographed travel and documentary work in the UK and Europe but now concentrates on Japan, having shot throughout the country but particularly in Tokyo, Hiroshima, Hokkaido and Kyoto.
Alfie's work has also been used by a number of private business clients, for their corporate websites, annual reports and brochures, signage, and in their business premises for display as prints and large-scale murals.
From 1991 until 2001 Alfie worked in the music business in the UK, as Press Director for Nimbus Records and then as General Manager for Black Box Music in London. During that time his music photography was published in magazines and newspapers across the world. He also photographed Peter Gabriel's WOMAD Festivals for some years and in 2002 was chief photographer and photo editor fot the official website of Glastonbury Festival.
